Community Activities

St Luke's Church buildng lends itself to Community Activities, (now that the pews have been removed!)

Community Spirit is the name that we have given to our project to make the interior of St Luke’s Church fit for community use. The pictures at the bottom of this page give some idea of the wonderful space we now have for special events as well as for regular worship.

We are now raising funds to replace the current energy hungry lighting with a flexible state of the art scheme that will cut our lightingcarbon emissions by 50%, whilst also creating a warm welcoming
space suitable for a variety of uses by all in our community.

For every pound donated to our fundraising page between 1st February and 14th March 2024, the Church of England will match fund and double it.

Make a difference and PLEASE donate now. To find out how to do it Click Here

St Mary’s Church building does not lend itself so well to community use. But we do have a modern and comfortable Meeting Room, which can be hired out. Our main community/social activities include a Baby and Toddler Group that meets every Thursday during term time; and Arts and Crafts Group (SMArts) which meets every Tuesday afternoon; and the Riddlesden Green Connection Community Café that takes place on the second Saturday morning of each month. You will find details of these on the relevant pages of this website.
